SK Nippon Japanese Porcelain Blue Birds Branch Hand Painted Celery Dish - 1930s

This charming vintage 1930s porcelain celery dish features a gorgeous, hand-painted scene of vibrant bluebirds perched on branches. Manufactured by S&K (Shofu Toki / Shofu Kajo)—a highly respected maker and decorator within the historic Nippon porcelain industry—each detail is delicately rendered with fine brushwork and elegant gold accents. Measuring 11 inches long by 5.25 inches wide, this dish tapers beautifully from 1 inch high in the center to 1.75 inches high at the handled ends. While traditionally intended as a relish or celery server, its elegant oval silhouette makes it remarkably versatile for modern homes. Use it as a sushi platter, a tea sandwich server, a vanity trinket tray, or an eye-catching display piece on an accent shelf. Condition Note: This beautiful antique dish is in great vintage condition with bright graphics. To maintain full transparency for my collectors, please note there is a small, chip located discretely underneath one of the handles, as clearly photographed. This does not impact its structural integrity or display value. Upcycling Mission: At SweetEarthVintage, I love celebrating antique craftsmanship and saving history by giving beautiful porcelain treasures and patterns a second life.
