Vintage handmade prairie-style sunbonnet, likely dating to the 1960s–70s, in a charming blue, black and white floral/geometric cotton print. Traditional bonnet construction with a deep quilted/stiffened brim, very full gathered crown, long back/neck covering and long fabric ties. Wonderful old-fashioned silhouette when worn. Approximately 11” deep from front brim to back as shown in photos. Please use photos for additional measurements and fit. Very nice vintage condition overall. I found one subtle area of discoloration, shown in the close-up; it is not especially noticeable overall. Some minor age/use wear may be present. A great piece for prairie or pioneer costume, historical photography, theater, reenactment, period display or vintage textile collection.
