Vintage TOWER Sears Mechanical Pocket Watch Small Seconds Runs Needs Service

Pre-owned vintage condition. Winds and runs, but loses significant time and should be serviced.  Description: Vintage TOWER mechanical pocket watch with an aged two-tone dial, large Arabic numerals, and small seconds subdial at the 6 o’clock position.  The TOWER name is visible on the watch face. Tower was used as a Sears watch brand. I have not opened the case back, so the movement and exact manufacturer have not been independently confirmed.  The watch winds and runs, and the small seconds hand operates.  I tested the watch on one winding. During testing it progressively lost time. After approximately 5 hours 42 minutes, it was about 40 minutes slow. It continued running a little longer and eventually stopped with the hands showing approximately 6:13.  Because of the significant time loss, this watch is being sold as needing service, cleaning, adjustment, or repair. Accuracy and continued operation are not guaranteed.  Approximate measurements:  Case diameter: 53 mm Crown to bottom: 58 mm  The watch shows substantial age-related wear, scratches, discoloration, patina, and dial/case wear. Please examine all photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition.  The case back has not been opened, as I did not want to risk damaging the watch.  Sold as-is for collecting, restoration, repair, or display.
