Rare Antique 19th Century Handmade European Needle Lace & Linen Table Runner 42"
Antique
19th-century antique handmade European lace table runner. The piece features a crisp, finely woven white linen center panel beautifully framed by remarkably wide, intricate needle lace borders. The craftsmanship displays master-level execution of traditional floral, foliate, and scroll motifs, complete with delicate brides and openwork typical of high-end 1800s European lacemaking. Dimensions: • Total Length: 42 inches (Measures 21 inches folded in half, as shown in photos) • Total Width: 15.5 inches (measured across the widest lace point) Condition: Good antique condition! The linen center is strong and clean. The 19th-century handmade lace border shows minor, honest antique wear consistent with its age. Close-up photos reveal light fraying on the outermost delicate edge loops, a few broken/thinned bridging threads between the floral motifs, and minor thread distortion. No large holes or major stains.
