Native American Early Vintage Zuni Bowman Paywa Sterling Knifewing Pin Brooch

Available is this exceptional early vintage Zuni Knifewing brooch featuring intricate hand-cut stone inlay in turquoise, black, white, orange, and mother-of-pearl tones. Measuring approximately 2.5 inches tall, this beautifully crafted piece displays the traditional Knifewing figure, one of the most recognized and sought-after symbols in Zuni jewelry. The inlay work is finely executed with excellent color contrast and classic geometric design elements characteristic of early Zuni craftsmanship. Unsigned, as many early Zuni works were, this brooch exhibits the artistry and attention to detail associated with older Native American inlay jewelry. Pieces of this quality and style are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly larger examples with such striking inlay work and traditional construction.
