1993 Mini Carddass Dragon Ball Z Kira Card Vintage Rare Item
15.17 $
Description
This features Bandai's Dragon Ball Carddass, which was explosively popular in the 1990s. Specifically, these are a rarer type known as Mini Carddass or Half Mini, which are smaller than the usual size and were sold in capsule toy machines and the like at the time.
These cards are from the Mini Carddass Dragon Ball Z series that was released in 1993. At the time, the main-sized (regular size) Carddass was a huge boom, and this mini size was sold as a derivative product through dedicated small vending machines.
Context of the 1993 Series: At that time, the anime was exciting with the Cell Saga and later theatrical films (like Broly).
Design Features: The Goku card you have (No. 169) is a design originally released in 1990 as Main Series 5th Edition, but it is believed to have been reissued and recompiled as a 1993 Mini Carddass.
Card Below: Depicts the enemy character Dodoria. This is also aキラ (kira - holographic/foil) specification, and while it was often treated as a miss among children at the time, its value as a collectible item is now being re-evaluated.
These cards are very rare as they are original items from that era.
