Artwork dimensions: Approx. 24cm x Approx. 27cm
Frame dimensions: Approx. 38cm x Approx. 41cm (with front glass).

Artwork features: Mr. Hagiwara's kappa are called Fuku Kappa (lucky kappa) and are characterized by their cute and gentle expressions. He also created the kappa illustrations seen in Asakusa's Kappabashi Shopping Street.
This work was created in connection with Sukeroku no Yado Sadachiyo in Asakusa, Tokyo.
The paper is also included.

The red building in the background is thought to be inspired by the Kaminarimon Gate and the main hall of Senso-ji Temple. The composition of the kappa holding a child is a lucky charm created with the meaning of family safety, prosperity of descendants, or inviting good fortune.

The more you look at it, the more gentle and healing the painting becomes.
